Harvey
Gerstman / Co-founder
Harvey founded Harvey Gerstman Associates, Inc., a manufacturers representative agency, in 1978 by
leveraging his successful career in the paint manufacturing industry and forging business
relationships with a small number of hardware and paint manufacturers. In the late 1980s, he was
quick to recognize the changing face of retailing in the home improvement category and was able to
accelerate the growth of the company by focusing on that channel. Today, he oversees a company with
five successful divisions, as well as approximately 50 high quality manufacturers and retailers on
its roster. Harvey, and his wife Carol, are active contributors to several causes, including City
of Hope.
Carol
Gerstman / Co-founder
As Harvey’s partner and inspiration in the creation of Harvey
Gerstman Associates, Carol played an integral role in the success
of the company. She handled all administrative responsibilities
at HGA, traveled to industry trade events, wrote sales orders,
and managed customer service. At the same time, Carol established
and built a successful travel consultant business. Carol and Harvey’s
three children, Dan, Brad, and Linda, all hold executive positions
at the company and are leading Harvey Gerstman Associates into
the future.
Linda
Gerstman / Co-founder
Linda is a Vice President at Harvey Gerstman Associates, Inc.,
working closely with company associates on merchandising projects
in the stores and communicating regularly with select manufacturers
and customers. Previously, she was Vice President at New York
advertising agency Jordan, McGrath, Case & Partners where
she was responsible for managing the accounts of blue chip companies
such as Procter & Gamble, Hasbro, and Glaxo Smith Kline, and
for launching and repositioning major consumer brands such as
Rogaine and Nicorette.
Dan
Gerstman / Co-founder
Since joining Harvey Gerstman Associates, Inc. in 1983, Dan has
played a key role in the growth of the company, holding a variety
of sales leadership and executive positions. In his current role
as President, Dan oversees all aspects of business operations,
including manufacturer relations and company strategy. Under his
leadership, Harvey Gerstman Associates has earned recognition
from both manufacturers and retailers as one of the leading sales
organizations in the United States. In addition to his professional
duties, Dan is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Cross
Island YMCA, the Bellerose, New York branch of the YMCA of Greater
New York. Dan is also an active member of the Hewlett-East Rockaway
(New York) Jewish Center and sits on the Ritual and House Committees.
Pam
Gerstman / Co-founder
Pam, along with her husband Dan, is an active member of the Hewlett-East
Rockaway, New York community. She is a member of the Waverly Park
School PTA in East Rockaway and runs the Health and Wellness Program
for that school. She holds a degree in Nutritional Counseling
from the University of Buffalo and currently works with clients
at The Diet Center in Garden City, New York. Pam and Dan are the
proud parents of four children.
Brad
Gerstman / Co-founder
Brad Gerstman is the President of Quest Service Group LLC. In this role, Brad oversees all business operations, including company strategy, business development, and customer service. He is also an integral member of the executive team of Quest sister company, Harvey Gerstman Associates, Inc. with responsibilities that include operations and business development. Prior to joining Harvey Gerstman Associates, Inc., Brad practiced law, held the position of Assistant District Attorney in The Bronx, and enjoyed success as an author of several best-selling books. Brad is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Nassau Health Care Corporation and is a co-founder and board member of the Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation, a family foundation that provides summer camp experiences to children with physical disabilities. Brad is also politically active, holding memberships on various political committees, and was an advocacy chair on the 2007 Long Island Walk Now for Autism Planning Committee. He is currently Vice President and Board Member of the Long Island Medical Foundation.
Cheryl
Gerstman / Co-founder
Cheryl is currently a co-chair and coordinator of various charitable
events for the North Shore University Hospital Preschool (New
York). She holds a Business Administration degree from Hofstra
University and has worked in Personal Shopping Sales at Bergdorf
Goodman, Bloomingdale's, and the Americana Manhasset. Her diverse
clientele ranged from Fortune 500 executives to heads-of-state
to celebrities. Cheryl and husband Brad are the parents of two
children.
